The Value of Dance
Dance improves quality of life through the mind body connection. It is excellent exercise, teaches patience and discipline, and cultivates an appreciation for the performing arts. Because it is fun, dance is uplifting and reduces stress! At Principle Dance, we serve dancers of various ages and experience while balancing discipline and fun within both recreational & pre-professional programs.
The Principle Dance Difference
We provide an excellent education in dance technique. We take our name seriously and maintain high standards of excellence. Our teachers have a dance or teaching degree and all utilize the Principle Dance curriculum. Continued innovation combined with a love of teaching and a passion for the art of dance provides a positive learning environment for students. We offer a variety of classes within 3 distinct programs specifically tailored to the interests of different types of dancers. Our carefully planned curriculum ensures continuity and progress as students advance over time. Limited class size provides students with the individual attention that they need.
We cultivate artists. Dance is a performance art, and performance is the culmination of the hours spent in the studio practicing technique. This experience develops poise and self-esteem. The transition from the comfort of the studio to the magic of the stage is where artistry truly comes into play. We perform The Nutcracker in December and a June Recital with an original storyline.
We value our students’ well being. Our studio is equipped with sprung floors which absorb impact and relieve stress on the ankles, knees, and spine. Our instructors teach proper anatomical alignment in order to prevent injury. Our beautiful and spacious studios allow the dancers to search for the full extent of their movement without being hindered by lack of space. Classes may always be observed on the monitors in the sitting areas.
