NYC Workshop & Audition at Principle Dance on April 23rd!

 

 

Mindy Upin Jackson is faculty member and Director of Professional Training Programs at NYC’s Steps on Broadway. She is also a guest teaching artist for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Mindy has performed at City Center, Joyce Theater, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Jacob’s Pillow, Judson Church, New York Live Arts, and the American Dance Festival.  Mindy has choreographed Off-Off-Broadway plays, music videos, student works, and produced her own show in Chicago, IL and Asheville, NC. Mindy was recognized by Dance Magazine with an ENews exclusive and showcased as a style model. Sunday, 4/23 Mindy Upin Jackson Workshop Details
Open to all Pathway students. Dancers in these classes are not required but are STRONGLY encouraged to attend!

Must register in advance. Fee is $65. Click here to register now through Studio Director!

Steps usually charges $35 for auditions alone. The walk in rate for taking one class is $19. Our students get a taste of New York and five hours of dance with Mindy conveniently located at our home studio for only $65!

12:00-2:00 p.m. Contemporary & Improvisation
Dress code: Leotard, black tights or leggings, ponytail, bare feet.
2:00-2:15 p.m. Break
2:15-2:30 p.m. Q&A
2:30-3:15 p.m. Repertory
3:15-3:45 p.m. Break/Audition Prep
3:45-5:00 p.m. Audition for Steps NYC Summer Intensive: Ballet & pointe* technique.
Dress code: Leotard, pink tights, pink shoes, hair in a bun.
*Only students currently performing in pointe shoes will wear them during the audition.
