The Early Development Program: This program offers a fun and creative introduction to dance for 2-6 year olds. Classes include The Joy of Movement, Creative Movement, Discover Dance, Pre-Ballet 1, and Tap Rhythm & Rhyme.
The Home Program: This program offers a home for all who enjoy dance. It serves 7 year olds through adults seeking a recreational approach without sacrificing quality dance instruction and student progress. Placement is determined by age and previous experience. Class curriculum is tailored to the students in attendance. Speak to the director to ensure proper class placement. Classes include Pre-Ballet 2, Ballet
1 – Ballet 4, Jazz 1 – Jazz 3, Tap 1 – Advanced Tap, and Beginning –
Advanced Hip Hop.
The Pathway Program: This program offers a challenging curriculum in order to serve dedicated dancers who want a more in depth experience or may one day pursue dance professionally. It also will serve as a foundation for
our resident dance company--Aster Brio. A minimum of
two Ballet classes a week and permission from the instructor are required to participate in the Pathway Program. Classes include Ballet with Pointe work, Jazz,
& Modern.
The Scholarship Program: Exemplary students are selected for the scholarship program because they represent the qualities that Principle Dance Studio values. These attributes include dedication, focus, passion for dance, kindness, generosity, strong technique, and dependability. Scholarship students are members of a teacher training program in which they assist experienced teachers in classes with younger students. In return, they learn how to view classes from a new perspective, how to problem solve, how to nurture young dancers, and may one day be called upon to teach a class on their own. Scholarship students’ tuition is either discounted or waived depending on time dedicated to Principle Dance Studio. Students interested should speak with the director.
